A hosted OpenBooks, with nothing to install.
Most treasurers were handed a cash box, not a server. The hosted version is for them: sign in, record money, print the statement.
It is not open yet.
There is no sign-up, no waiting list, and no date to give you. We would rather say that plainly than collect your address against a promise with no shape to it.
To hear when it opens: watch releases on the OpenBooks repository. That notification is real and works today.
What it will be, exactly.
The same application, the same ledger, and the same reports that run locally today — operated for you instead of by you. Everything on the home page is a screenshot of the real thing, not a mockup of something planned.
What we are not going to do is describe pricing, capacity, or a launch window before they exist. When those are real, they will appear here.
You do not have to wait.
OpenBooks is free and open source, and the version you can run yourself is the version the hosted one will be. If somebody in your club is comfortable with a terminal, you can have real books this evening.
